Wesley Sonck has been left out of the Ajax squad to face Juventus next week.
Wesley Sonck has been left out of the Ajax squad to face Juventus next week.The Belgian international was missing from the squad for the weekend game with De Graafschap and his omission for the Juve game raises more doubts over his future at The Amsterdam ArenA.
Ajax boss Ronald Koeman has warned Belgian striker Wesley Sonk earlier this month over his behaviour and it appears he has taken a tough stance with the player.
17-year-old Ryan Babel has taken Sonck's place in the squad and Koeman believes he deserves his chance.
"I have taken some hard decisions, and on that turned way we will continue now.
"That may be painful for some players. Besides Babel has done well and he will get chances the coming period.
Ajax will also be without three key stars for the game.
John Heitinga, Bogdan Lobont and Steven Pienaar are all missing for the trip to Turin because of injury.
In other news Ajax are expected to sign Hvidovre talent Per Weihrauch.
According the website of the Danish club the 16-year-old attacker will sign a contract with the Dutch giants in January.
Weihrauch had enjoyed trials at Everton and Norwich, but Ajax have won the race for his signature.
