Ajax have agreed a fee with Swedish outfit Malmo for the services of striker Markus Rosenberg. The 22-year-old has yet to agree personal terms with the Amsterdam giants, but Ajax look to have won the race for the sought-after Scandinavian.
A fee in the region of é¼5 million is believed to have been agreed for one of Sweden's brightest talents - a deal that would make Rosenberg the most expensive player to leave Sweden since Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to Ajax from Malmo in 2001.
The Sweden international, who was top scorer in the Allsvenskan last season, has attracted the interest of several top European sides in recent months.
Anderlecht, Lokomotiv Moscow, Milan and Rennes all showed interest in luring the hit-man to their respective clubs, but Rosenberg looks set to continue his career in Holland with Ajax.
