Sunday 18 November 2018 18:51, UK
A bumper weekend of club action saw some high profile casualties, while the ladies football final has been set.
Munster club SHC final
Na Piarsaigh have lost their first ever Munster Championship game as they went on the hunt for their fifth provincial title. The Limerick city club stormed into an early five-point lead against Ballygunner in Thurles, but the Waterford side rallied and went in ahead at the break thanks to a penalty from Déise goalkeeper Stephen O'Keeffe.
From there, Ballygunner were full value for their win as they ran out 2-14 to 2-08 victors.
Leinster club SHC semi-finals
Ballyboden St Enda's and Coolderry played out an epic encounter at Parnell Park. The Dublin champions established a commanding seven-point lead at the break. However, the Offaly side rallied, and it was 'Boden who scraped a draw at the end of normal time. It took the Dubliners two periods of extra-time to see off Brian Carroll and co, with the tie finishing 5-28 to 5-25.
Joe Fortune's side will face Ballyhale Shamrocks in the provincial decider. Colin Fennelly scored 4-4 as the Kilkenny club beat Naomh Éanna 6-21 to 4-11.
Galway SHC final
2016 winners St Thomas' overcame reigning champions Liam Mellows in Pearse Stadium on Sunday to win their third ever title. The 2013 All-Ireland champions beat the city side 2-13 to 0-10.
Ulster club SFC semi-finals
Scotstown and Gaoth Dobhair will face off in the provincial decider this year, after wins over Coleraine and Crossmaglen respectively. The Donegal Gaeltacht outfit beat the Armagh kingpins 4-11 to 0-16, while a late Rory Beggan free saw Scotstown past Derry champions, 1-14 to 2-10.
All-Ireland ladies club football club semi-finals
A new name will be etched on the Dolores Tyrrell Memorial Cup on December 8 - when Cork's Mourneabbey and Dublin outfit Foxrock-Cabinteely battle it out for All-Ireland Ladies Senior Club Football glory.
In Sunday's semi-finals, Mourneabbey and Fox-Cab advanced past Kilkerrin-Clonberne and Donaghmoyne respectively.
The degrees of difficulty varied as Mourneabbey overpowered Carnacon's conquerors Kilkerrin-Clonberne 1-14 to 0-09, while Fox-Cab staged a late smash and grab raid against five-time winners Donaghmoyne, 2-08 to 1-08.
