Offaly GAA are keeping faith with Kevin Martin as manager of their senior hurlers for 2019.

Martin's side endured a mixed 2018 season when they were competitive throughout the League, beating Dublin in the opening tie. While they put it up to Galway and Kilkenny for large parts of the games throughout the Leinster Championship, they were ultimately relegated to the Joe McDonagh Cup for next year.

Nonetheless, there were signs that Offaly hurling was improving and there is a confidence throughout the county that the 1994 and 1998 All-Ireland winner can help the side along an upward trajectory.

Meanwhile, former Tipperary hurler Declan Fanning joins as coach. The Killenaule man previously worked as a selector with his native county.

The Faithful will enter the Joe McDonagh Cup as favourites, as they prepare to battle with Laois, Antrim, Kerry and Westmeath for a spot in the Leinster Championship the following season.
