David Drysdale needed a huge slice of fortune to avoid sending his tee shot into the water at the Turkish Airlines Open.

David Drysdale needed a huge slice of luck to avoid finding the hazard for the second day running at the Turkish Airlines Open.

The Scot sent his tee shot at the par-three sixth into the water on his way to double-bogeying the hole in Saturday's third round, before almost repeating the feat on the final day in Antalya.

Heading to the hole off the back of a birdie-three at the fifth, Drysdale sent his tee shot at the next to the left of the green and seemingly destined for the drink.

Drysdale saw his shot bounce off a rock under the water and pop back in to the air, before ricocheting several times off the lake's wall and coming to a halt safely on dry land.

Having received his lucky break, Drysdale was able to get up-and-down from the rough to save par and continue his blemish-free start to the day.
