All you need to know as the DP World Tour reaches a thrilling conclusion with the last Play-Off event determining the 2025 Race to Dubai champion...

One Play-Off event left, one champion to name

After 36 winners prevailed across 41 events in 28 countries, it all boils down to the final Rolex Series event in the United Arab Emirates - the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

The top 50 compete in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship over the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from November 13-16.

As it stands, Rory McIlroy is closing in on a fourth straight Race to Dubai title and the seventh of his career.

McIlroy fired a stunning 62 in the final round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship to finish in a tie for third, and with it strengthen his lead in the Race to Dubai over England's Marco Penge.

McIlroy remains the man to beat

As mentioned, McIlroy leads the Race to Dubai, with his Masters triumph one of three 2025 victories that have given him a commanding lead over the field.

McIlroy's bogey-free final round in Abu Dhabi - an eagle and eight birdies, including a scintillating run of five-in-a-row from the 10th - catapulted him into contention if ultimately coming up one stroke short of getting into the play-off. It was the lowest round of his DP World Tour career.

In the order of merit table, McIlroy's reward for tied-third was to add a further 507 points to his total, while Penge - who shot a 63 for 268 in tied-eighth - garnered 181. It means McIlroy increased his lead over the Englishman to 767 points in the order of merit. There are 2,000 points available to the winner in Dubai.

The likes of Tyrrell Hatton, Robert MacIntyre, Aaron Rai and Tommy Fleetwood are also circling, with Rai having beaten Fleetwood in the Abu Dhabi play-off.

If that can be combined with McIlroy limiting his points, then the door to a dramatic late shift in the standings could open.
