David Lingmerth’s holds a one shot lead at the Quicken Loans National after his advantage was halved following a disappointing three-over par 73.

The Swede, who finished the third round at seven-under par, struggled to match the brilliance of his opening two rounds which saw him card successive rounds of 65 as Daniel Summerhays moved into second place at six-under par.

Summerhays carded a level par 70 to secure his place in the final grouping for tomorrow's final round on a day which had a 90-minute delay to threatening weather amid tough scoring conditions.

Spencer Levin fired the round of the day on Saturday with a five-under par 65 to propel himself into contention, with the American just two shots off the lead.

New Zealand's Curtis Luck, the world No 410, moved into a group at four-under par with an eventful three-under par round of 67 which included two bogeys on the front nine.

Geoff Ogilvy and Sung Kang also lie at four-under par after carding rounds of 74 and 71 respectively. Ogilvy's fortunes took a backwards step with a tough front nine which included three bogeys.

American Keegan Bradley is a further three shots back at one-under-par but his third round ended in fine fashion when he made a hole-out with his second shot to the par-four 18th for eagle.

Rickie Fowler bounced back from a birdie-free second round of 72 to card a 68 which leaves him at level-par for the competition and seven shots off the lead.
