Miyu Yamashita is out to defend the AIG Women's Open title at Royal Lytham & St Annes, after she outlasted England's Charley Hull and Japan's Minami Katsu by two shots to win at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club last year.
Yamashita has enjoyed an excellent season on the LPGA Tour, beating Lottie Woad in a play-off at the Meijer LPGA Classic in June, before finishing tied-fifth at last week's ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open.

The 24-year-old will come up against a tough field that includes world No 1 Nelly Korda, who can complete the career Grand Slam by winning her fourth different major title at Royal Lytham & St Annes this week.
Woad and Hull enter the week as the home favourites and are both looking to win their first major championships. Hull came close to ending her long wait for a major at the US Women's Open in June, registering her fifth runner-up finish in majors.
Georgia Hall won the AIG Women's Open when it was last hosted at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2018, following on from Catriona Matthew's victory at the same venue in 2009.

The AIG Women's Open field: Who is playing at Royal Lytham & St Annes?
The world's best women's golfers will descend on Royal Lytham & St Annes this week for the final women's major of 2026.
There are 144 players in the field, including world No 2 Jeeno Thitikul and world No 3 Haeran Ryu, who is out to win her third major of the season, after she claimed victory at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in June and the Evian Championship in July.

AIG Women's Open tee times: When will play start?
Play is set to commence at 6.30am Thursday and Friday, with tee times for the opening round available here.
Weekend tee times will vary depending on how many players make the cut. Third-round tee times are scheduled to be released on Friday night.
After 36 holes have been completed, the top 65 players and ties will make the cut for rounds three and four.
When is the AIG Women's Open live on Sky Sports?
Sky Sports Golf will show more live coverage of the AIG Women's Open than ever before, with this year's tournament set to have an extra six hours of coverage compared to 2025.
Early coverage will be broadcast from 9am on both Thursday and Friday, while full coverage of the first and second rounds will commence at 1pm on Sky Sports Golf on both days.
Coverage of days three and four will begin on Saturday and Sunday at 12pm. Highlights will also be broadcast at 11pm of each tournament day on Sky Sports Golf.
