Andy Sullivan is refusing to getting carried away about the prospect of a Ryder Cup debut this autumn, despite being well-placed in the qualifying standings.

Sullivan is in a strong position to be an automatic qualifier for Darren Clarke's side, currently sitting eighth in the World Points List with two qualifying weeks remaining.

The three-time European Tour winner can guarantee his spot with a high finish at this week's Czech Masters, live on Sky Sports 4, with Sullivan focused on getting the job done.

"I'm just trying to contain myself until I know I'm definitely in," Sullivan told Sky Sports. "It's difficult for me to think I'm in that team right now, as anything can happen and I could get knocked out of that team still.

"I've put myself in a really good position and  I know there's a lot of ground to make up for the guys behind me but it's still possible, so I've still got to come out here and do the job.

"The run of form is good so hopefully we can continue that and puts some points on the board to make the gap even bigger. Hopefully I can just keep my feet on my ground for one more event and just get it done."

This week's tournament and next week's Made In Denmark are the final European Tour events where players can earn qualification points for Hazeltine, while the Wyndham Championship and The Barclays are the final two on the PGA Tour.
