Daniel Im fired the 999th hole-in-one in European Tour history during day one of the Omega European Masters

Daniel Im fired a landmark hole-in-one during the opening round of the Omega European Masters, where there was confusion about which player made the ace.

Im holed his tee shot at the par-three eighth, seeing his effort with a seven-iron land 10 feet short of the pin and take a short bounce before trickling in off the left-edge.

The American's ace was from 175 yards and helped him post an opening-round 66 at Crans-sur-Sierre, although he initially didn't receive the credit for making the 999th hole-in-one in European Tour history.

TV graphics briefly highlighted the player making the ace as Thailand's Natipong Srithong - playing in the same group - only for Sky Sports' Richard Boxall to notice the error and congratulate Im.
