Ryan Palmer and Daniel Summerhays hole out for eagles at Baltusrol

The second hole at Baltusrol is regarded as one of the best birdie chances in the PGA Championship, but three players have now gone one better by holing out from the fairway.
After Hideki Matsuyama's second to the second found the target during the second round, his eagle was matched by both Ryan Palmer and Daniel Summerhays on day three in stormy New Jersey.
Palmer's approach pitched in the perfect place and spun into the hole from 141 yards out, and the American continued his hot start with birdies at the fourth and fifth before sliding back down the leaderboard with three bogeys and one double-bogey over the next six holes.
Summerhays began his third round exactly three hours later after an excellent 67 lifted him to three under on Friday, and he started with a bogey before providing the ideal response.
He split the fairway with his tee shot, made perfect contact with a wedge from 126 yards and his ball almost landed straight in the hole before catching just enough of the lip to drop for his eagle.
And Summerhays had the chance to review the replays of his superb blow sooner than expected when an approaching thunderstorm suspended play shortly after he had teed off at the third.
