Two holes in one in an hour at KLM Open break European Tour record

History was made at the KLM Open as Magnus Carlsson carded the 40th hole-in-one on the European Tour this season.

The Swede's perfect tee-shot at the 220-yard eighth hole at Kennemer took the total number of aces in 2015 past the previous benchmark of 39 set in 2006.

And, barely an hour later, ace number 41 arrived when Wade Ormsby served up the perfect response to a double-bogey at the 10th with an ace at the 158-yard 11th.

The Australian then birdied the next two holes to haul himself right into contention, but Carlsson headed swiftly in the opposite direction when he ran up an ugly quadruple-bogey eight at the 14th.
