Having elected to bowl first, South Africa would have been very happy to restrict England to 171. Root and Hales got England going initially before both fell in consecutive balls. Morgan and Buttler then put on 96 before England lost their last seven wickets for just 14 runs and gifted the momentum to the home side.
de Villiers and Amla then punished some wayward bowling in putting on 125 in no time. Rashid did pick up AB but the game was well gone by then, with Amla and Faf finishing off the job. It really was a demolition job from the South Africans in the end. -
