WWE TLC 2014 results: Roman Reigns helps John Cena beat Seth Rollins in Tables Match
Cena to fight Brock Lesnar for world title at Royal Rumble

Roman Reigns made a stunning return at WWE TLC to help John Cena defeat Seth Rollins in a Tables Match.
The former Shield grappler, absent from the ring since September after undergoing hernia surgery, fought off Big Show on Sunday evening, before flooring onetime ally Rollins and allowing Cena to give the Aerialist an Attitude Adjustment through the pine.
Cena’s triumph means he remains No 1 contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and will fight Brock Lesnar for the strap at the Royal Rumble event on Sunday, January 25.
Splinters
Cena and Rollins’ duel in Cleveland was chaotic from the off and it wasn’t long before J&J Security were made to pay for their interference when they were simultaneously sent careering through a table by 15-time world champion Cena.
Rollins followed suit later in the contest when he collected splinters after a top-rope Attitude Adjustment, but, with the referee having been knocked down, no official was in place to declare Cena the victor.
Cena and Rollins clambered to their feet to send each other crashing into tables, though with both men colliding with the wood at the same time, the two new referees could not decide a winner.
The bout continued, then, and Big Show – who conquered Erick Rowan in the inaugural Steel Stairs Match earlier in the evening – strode to the ring, assisting Rollins by laying a flotilla of punches on Cena.
But Reigns scuppered any chance of a Rollins triumph, emerging from the locker room to a huge reaction from the crowd, before clobbering The World’s Largest Athlete with a Superman punch and a spear and then setting Rollins up for Cena with a second Superman punch.
Reigns soaked up the atmosphere inside the Quicken Loans Arena but his thoughts will now be on the 2015 Royal Rumble Match, with The Juggernaut having been announced as the first of 30 entrants to compete in January’s multi-man showdown.
Dragged
Elsewhere in Ohio, Bray Wyatt edged Dean Ambrose in a corking Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match after Ambrose’s decision to use a TV monitor as a weapon came back to bite him.
The Lunatic Fringe seized control of the contest – a contest in which he twice elbow dropped Wyatt through a table – but when he dragged the television into the squared circle, sparks temporarily blinded him and Wyatt profited with a match-winning Sister Abigail.
Dolph Ziggler, meanwhile, superkicked Luke Harper off a ladder en route to plucking the bearded warrior’s Intercontinental Title, while Ryback conquered Kane in a Chairs Match.
The Miz and Damien Mizdow are still WWE Tag Team Champions after getting themselves intentionally disqualified during their title tussle with The Usos, and Rusev still holds the United States Championship following his destruction of the valiant Jack Swagger.
Plus, Nikki Bella sprayed AJ Lee with the contents of an aerosol can while the referee was ejecting Brie Bella, before pinning The Black Widow to maintain her grip on the Divas Title.
