London’s Jimi Manuwa shot into UFC championship contention with a one-punch knockout of Corey Anderson at The O2 Arena on Saturday.
Manuwa immediately called out the winner of the upcoming light-heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson - before mentioning a boxing match against fellow Londoner David Haye.
The No 4 ranked Manuwa (17-2) stalked America's Anderson around the octagon before landing a left hook that sent his opponent to the canvas face first, in just over three minutes.
"I want the winner of DC and Rumble, it's time for a title shot now," Manuwa said afterwards.
Last week, he told Sky Sports about a potential world title fight: "I can see it coming this year, whether it's London or Vegas. I know it's coming."
Brad Pickett (25-14) retired in his home city after a defeat to Marlon Vera in his farewell fight.
The London bantamweight left his trademark trilby hat inside the octagon after being finished by a head kick in the third round by Vera.
Of the other Brits in action, Marc Diakiese stood out after a clinical first-round destruction over Teemu Packalen, while Arnold Allen outpointed Makwan Amirkhani. Leon Edwards and Brad Scott won on the undercard, too.
Gunnar Nelson, in the co main-event, secured an impressive submission win against Alan Jouban.
