WWE Raw: Title-hunting Kane attacks Seth Rollins in Buffalo

Big Red Monster batters Aerialist after being put in ambulance

Last Updated: 03/10/15 5:55pm

Kane turned from director to demon on Raw, signalling his intention to claim the WWE World Heavyweight Title in the process.

The Big Red Machine underwent an evaluation on Monday night to ascertain whether he was fit to continue in his Director of Operations role following weeks of switching between his corporate and monstrous personas.

Kane passed with flying colours - Ashley from Human Resources has a lot to answer for - but then transformed into his evil, mask-wearing self after he was viciously attacked by Seth Rollins and carried out in an ambulance.

Smoke soon emanated from said ambulance before Kane emerged from the vehicle and proceeded to pummel Rollins with a steel chair and crash him to the canvas with a chokeslam.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rollins scuttled away before he could fall victim to a Tombstone but watched from afar as his nemesis lifted up his belt and gazed at it longingly.

Xavier Woods also had gold on his mind when Raw hit Buffalo, the New Day competitor challenging John Cena as the US Title Open Challenge returned.

Woods clocked Cena with Lost in the Woods but seemed set to tap out to the STF prior to comrades Kofi Kingston and Big E - who had previously been ejected from ringside - jumping the champion.

Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley soon evened the odds leading to a six-man tag tussle being sanctioned, an encounter that The New Day won when Kingston cracked D-Von with Trouble in Paradise.

A six-Diva battle also took place on Raw, with Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox pitted against Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Paige following the ladies' scuffle on MizTV.

Charlotte, Lynch and Paige's alliance was always likely to be uneasy after the latter's verbal tirade against her teammates last week and so it proved - Paige abandoning her partners, attacking her replacement, Natalya, and seeing Nikki pin Charlotte following a Rack Attack.

Elsewhere, Randy Orton polished off Bo Dallas with an RKO; Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Braun Strowman crushed The Prime Time Players; and Big Show made light work of fellow behemoth Mark Henry after flooring him with the KO Punch.

King Barrett returned with a vengeance on Raw

King Barrett made an impactful return following his stint filming a movie, striking Neville and Stardust with Bull Hammers during the pair's singles match, while Rusev versus Kevin Owens ended in a no contest when the grapplers teamed up to attack Ryback instead.

Plus, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt fought each other to a double count-out - before Reigns wowed the crowd by spearing his bitter rival through the announce table.
