Karl-Anthony Towns nailed a buzzer-beating jump shot to earn the Minnesota Timberwolves a dramatic 99-97 overtime win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Towns did not have his best game against the Grizzlies. He was held scoreless in the first half and struggled to a double-double on 7-of-17 shooting.
However, with the game on the line, he found his shooting touch when it mattered.
With the score tied at 97-97 and three seconds remaining in overtime, Minnesota shooting guard Andrew Wiggins launched a wayward 21-foot jumper that clanged off the rim.
Towns corralled the rebound on the baseline with his back to the basket, took one dribble and then spun to loft a turnaround fadeaway jump shot over the outstretched arm of Grizzlies center Marc Gasol.
The ball swished through the Memphis net as Towns toppled out of bounds, sealing a 99-97 win that improved the Timberwolves' record to 25-26.
