The Cowboys find themselves as long-shots to make the postseason, having watched influential quarterback Tony Romo struck down with a serious collarbone injury last week. They are winless without Romo in their side this campaign, and will play the Redskins twice before the close of the season.

Yet, they have not placed him on an injured reserved list on the basis that (mathematically) their play-off hopes are alive. The NFC Championship game is scheduled for January 24, which gives Romo eight weeks to recover from a second broken collarbone - you can't fault the Cowboys' optimism, but they'll need more than that against the Redskins on Monday night.

Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions

Aaron Rodgers threw a 60-yard 'Hail Mary' touchdown pass to give Green Bay a 27-23 win at Detroit in Thursday's NFL game.
