A round-up of the latest moves on the first day of the NFL's free agency period...
The Houston Texans have signed Brian Hoyer on a two-year deal as fresh competition for fellow quarterback Ryan Mallett.
Hoyer joins on a $10.5m contract, with $4.75m guaranteed, a day after Mallett signed a two-year deal for $7m, with $1.75m guaranteed.
In his 14 games for Cleveland last season, Hoyer threw for 3,326 yards with 12 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Former Indianapolis Colts duo Cory Redding and A.Q Shipley are both heading to Arizona Cardinals on two-year deals.
Defensive end Redding is a replacement for Darnell Dockett, who linked up with San Francisco 49ers, while center Shipley will be seeking more game time after five starts for the Colts last season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed outside linebacker Bruce Carter on a deal worth $20.5m over four years.
Carter arrives in Tampa Bay after spending four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, who selected him in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
The versatile 27-year-old finished with 68 tackles, one sack and a team-best five interceptions in his final season.
The New York Jets have signed Darrelle Revis in a monster deal, according to his agents.
The cornerback - the best free agent on the market - signed a $70m, five-year deal which will guarantee him $39m - with $33m of that coming in his first two years.
The Jets are also thought to have agreed a $12m deal with running back Shane Vereen after he parted company with the New England Patriots.
The versatile Vereen was allowed to leave the Patriots, despite playing his part in their Super Bowl XLIX triumph, and is expected to pick up a guaranteed $5m with the Giants.
The Jets have also cut controversial wide receiver Percy Harvin and confirmed their trade for former Chicago Bears' receiver Brandon Marshall.
The Jets also received a seventh round pick from the Bears in the deal, while sending a fifth-rounder in this year's draft Chicago's way.
The Baltimore Ravens have confirmed that Haloti Ngata has been traded to the Detroit Lions for three draft picks.
Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome was unable to renegotiate a deal with the 31-year-old, who is due $8.5m next season and has a $16m salary cap figure.
Ngata had 32 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions with the team, and played over 144 games for the Ravens in his career with the team.
The deal will see Baltimore get the Lions fourth, fifth and seventh round picks in this year's draft.
Ngata’s arrival will fill the void left by the imminent departure of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who is expected to complete a big-money move to Miami Dolphins.
Torrey Smith wasn't available for long after the Baltimore Ravens' decision to let the speedy wide receiver leave.
The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly signed him up to a five-year, $40m deal, which will see the player receive guaranteed money of $22m.
Seattle Seahawks' former 2013 Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith has signed with the Oakland Raiders.
Smith only started five games last season, despite having eight in 2013.
Smith, a seventh-round pick in 2011, made his name by catching the game-ending interception in the 2013 NFC Championship Game, and then followed it up by intercepting Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl and taking it back for a touchdown.
He also had a fumble recovery in the game, which guaranteed his MVP crown.
Free agent defensive tackle Dan Williams and linebacker Curtis Lofton are also expected to remain with the Raiders.
The New Orleans Saints have agreed to trade tight end Jimmy Graham to Seahawks for multiple draft picks and centre Max Unger, according to reports.
The Green Bay Packers are expected to tie down Bryan Bulaga on a new deal, with reports suggesting the right tackle will receive a five-year deal worth $35 million.
The 25-year-old sat out all of the 2013 season with a knee injury, but proved his worth to the Packers as he started all but one game in the 2014 campaign.
The New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders have been seen as early leaders for Harvin's signature.
The Patriots also decided to let cornerback Brandon Browner be a free agent - a move which will save them $1.9m.
This follows the Super Bowl champion's decision not to sign Darrelle Revis and Vince Wilfork earlier this off-season.
The Miami Dolphins have re-signed reserve safety Michael Thomas, despite his absence for much of the season with a chest injury.
The Dolphins also re-signed linebacker Kelvin Sheppard, who played mostly on special teams last year, while they placed a $2.4m second-round tender on defensive lineman Derrick Shelby.
Wide receiver Marlon Moore has re-signed for the Cleveland Browns, who have made a quiet start to this frenetic spell.
Moore appeared in 13 games for Cleveland last season, leading the club by averaging 24.8 yards on kickoff returns.
Carolina Panthers have secured the services of defensive tackle Dwan Edwards on a two-year deal.
The 11-year NFL veteran played in all 16 games in 2014, totalling 39 tackles, four sacks and one interception.
The Atlanta Falcons have strengthened their defensive options with the signings of free-agent linebackers Brooks Reed and Justin Durant.
Reed started 13 of 16 games last year for the Houston Texans and had three sacks and his first career interception.
Durant's 2014 season with the Dallas Cowboys was cut short in October when he suffered a torn bicep.
Former Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon is thought to have signed for the Arizona Cardinals.
Weatherspoon, 27, missed the entire 2014 season with a ruptured achilles tendon, and has struggled to stay fit since he was drafted in the first round by Atlanta in 2010.
The Cardinals have also recruited free agent inside linebacker LaMarr Woodley on a one-year contract worth $870,000.
Woodley, an eight-year NFL veteran, spent his most recent spell with the Oakland Raiders and also had seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Raiders cut him after he missed 10 games of the season with a bicep injury.
Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a new contract with safety Mike Adams, who announced the news on social media.
The Colts were keen to retain Adams following last month’s exit of their other starting safety LaRon Landry.
Veteran quarterback Shaun Hill has been signed by the Minnesota Vikings as the back-up to Teddy Bridgewater.
Hill played eight games for St Louis last year, where he had a 3-5 record.
The Vikings have also announced their three-year deal with defensive tackle Tom Johnson.
Johnson, who was second on the team with a career high 6 1/2 sacks, has signed a contract worth as much as $7m, including $3m guaranteed.
In one of the light-hearted moments of the day, New England Patriots running back LaGarrette Blount tweeted that he was going to Arizona ("Arizona Here I come!"). But he was going on a holiday, rather than on a more permanent trip to Glendale.
