St Louis Rams beat Arizona Cardinals in NFC West clash

The St Louis Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals 24-22 thanks to a dominant defensive display in Arizona.

The Rams held the NFL's number one offence coming into the game to just 22 points, holding them to field goals on four of five trips inside the red zone.

The Rams also managed to pressure quarterback Carson Palmer, sacking him four times and intercepting him once.

Two further Cardinals turnovers - fumbles from David Johnson on the opening kick-off and Larry Fitzgerald in the second half - resulted in two Rams touchdowns.
