Andrew Luck is hopeful of playing for the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday after putting in a limited practice session on Tuesday.
The Colts quarterback missed the 16-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday to end his streak of starting every game since he arrived in the NFL through the 2012 draft.
Luck is dealing with a shoulder injury and although he missed the part of Colts training open to the media, he did work with the squad and took most of the first-team snaps, according to coach Chuck Pagano.
To complicate matters, Matt Hasselbeck, who started in Luck's absence on Sunday, did not practice because of illness.
"I'm preparing to start, and to play," Luck told reporters after practice.
The Colts (2-2) open the week five schedule with a trip to Houston to take on the Texans (1-3) at at NRG Stadium.
