It was an impressive return to the field for New England quarterback Tom Brady, who threw for 406 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots' 33-13 win over the Cleveland Browns.
However, despite a stellar performance, Brady wasn't the top scorer at QB. That honour went to Tennessee Titans passer Marcus Mariota, who had three touchdown throws as well as a score himself. Up until this week, the second year quarterback had struggled to replicate his rookie season form, and may have been available through waivers. NFL fantasy expert Adam Rank believes that Mariota performs better on the road,
Rank also looked at the option of taking Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates, who had two touchdowns in a 31-13 victory over the Jets. When Ben Roethlisberger is throwing nine touchdowns in two games, it pays to have Steelers wideouts.
Despite their poor results of late, Rank highlighted the San Francisco receiver Jeremy Kerley as another potential waiver pick up. Kerley signed with the 49ers in the Summer and has been a top target for Blaine Gabbert. It remains to be seen whether his production will continue with Colin Kaepernick under centre.
