Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has announced he is coming back for a 14th season with the Arizona Cardinals.
The 33-year-old, drafted third overall by the Cardinals in 2004, has proved one of the league's best, and most dependable, pass catchers since arriving in the NFL.
Fitzgerald has only missed a handful of games during his 13 seasons so far and led the NFL with 107 receptions during the 2016 regular season.
"Some things that were killing me late in the year are feeling back to normal for me. That's a relief," Fitzgerald said.
"Also, my fire and desire to win and compete vs. the best still burns."
The Cardinals can now turn their attentions to quarterback Carson Palmer's future, although Fitzgerald's decision could be a sign the 37-year-old will also return.
He and Palmer have become close friends since the quarterback arrived in Arizona ahead of the 2013 season. but Fitzgerald added: "As a friend, it's best to let him make his own decision."
