Eddie Lacy joins Seattle Seahawks on one-year deal

Seattle Seahawks have confirmed the capture of former Green Bay running back Eddie Lacy with Jamaal Charles also scheduled to visit.
Seattle have been linked with a host of running backs since free agency began last Thursday and NFL Insider Ian Rapoport has confirmed that Charles will still visit the Pacific North West this week.
The capture of Lacy on a one-year deal gives the player the chance to prove he is over his injury problems and potentially give Seattle a fearsome looking running back line-up.
Earlier this month head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Thomas Rawls, after an injury-plagued season and CJ Prosise would compete for the starting RB slot but Lacy gives them added production if he can stay fit and would allow Prosise to show his versatility.
Lacy's agents first confirmed the move earlier on Twitter on Tuesday, before the player himself also used social media to say thank you after four years with the Packers and salute his new home.
After being selected with the 61st pick in the 2013 Draft, Lacy was named Offensive Rookie of the Year having posted 11 touchdowns and rushed for 1,178 yards.
Another 1,000+ yard season followed in 2014 before injuries took their toll, last season an ankle injury limited him to just five games and it remains to be seen how much the last two years of injury concerns have taken out of him.
Lacy is the first of the high-profile running backs to hit free agency to find a new franchise.
Charles, Adrian Peterson and Latavius Murray all have visits scheduled and teams interested while LeGarrette Blount after 19 touchdowns for New England also remains without a home for next season.
