The two-time NFL MVP showed glimpses of being back to his best at the weekend when he threw a 13-yard pass to Davante Adams that tied the game at 7-7 but was forced into three interceptions and was ultimately outdone by his counterpart Cam Newton.

"Aaron Rodgers is sore, rightfully so," Packers coach Mike McCarthy told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Monday.

"He was hit too many times, took two big hits. So we're working through that."
