The Arizona Cardinals interviewed former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson on Friday for their offensive coordinator opening, according to reports.
Jackson was fired by the Cleveland Browns midway through this season after winning just three games across three campaigns, going 3-36-1.
Jackson, who also spent a season as head coach of the Oakland Raiders in 2011, is one of several contenders for the role, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Such a hire by the Cardinals would give the team two deposed head coaches holding both coordinator positions.
The Cardinals hired former Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph to be their defensive coordinator under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who has no coaching experience in the NFL.
Jackson and Joseph worked together for two years in Cincinnati under former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, before Jackson left for the top job in Cleveland.
The 53-year-old was hired by Lewis in Cincinnati for the remainder of last season after being dismissed by the Browns, until both were fired by the Bengals.
Though Kingsbury plans to call the plays in Arizona, he has said he would like to hire a veteran offensive coordinator with NFL experience.
The Cardinals have reportedly interviewed a host of former coordinators, including ex-Detroit coordinator Jim Bob Cooter and former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo.
