Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein is expected to play in Super Bowl LIII on February 3, according to head coach Sean McVay.

Zuerlein was listed on the Ram's injury report as having a foot injury on Wednesday and had been walking around the team's practice facility wearing a walking boot.

The 31-year-old was on the report as "did not participate [DNP]" but McVay stated the boot was just a precautionary measure.

"Greg, he really just had a foot strain," McVay said. "It's his plant foot. We're just being extra cautious with regards to having him in a boot, doing treatment things that that.

"Don't anticipate or expect it to be anything that prevents him from being able to play in the game [Super Bowl LII]. Just being extra cautious with it, but he'll be OK."

In fact, McVay said Zuerlein was dealing with the strain in his foot during their 26-23 NFC conference championship win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.

"It was something that came up during the game," McVay said. "But didn't seem like it affected him, did it?"
