The NFC beat the AFC in the dodgeball skill at Pro Bowl

Building up to Sunday's Pro Bowl, the NFC were triumphant in the this edition of the Skills Showdown challenge.

With the NFL's best players representing their conference in competing in a series of challenges, including 'Best Hands', 'Precision Passing', '40-yard Splash', and 'Gridiron Gauntlet', it all ended up coming down to an epic Dodgeball decider.

Click on the video above to watch stars from each conference in the NFL battle it out in dodgeball, with Minnesota Vikings receiver Adam Thielen ultimately winning it for the NFC.

Thielen also helped the NFC in the Precision Passing event, despite having never thrown a pass before in the NFL. Not that you would have known that, as he knocked down a couple of targets with some precise throwing. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, meanwhile, was the top scorer.

A new event was also introduced for 2019 - the 40-yard Splash! Two NFL legends put themselves in the firing line, literally - DeMarcus Ware for the AFC and Brian Urlacher for the NFC - as the Pro Bowl stars filled tanks of water beneath the esteemed ex-pros and then tried to fire strikes at a target to try and dunk them.

On this occasion, the AFC got the upper hand, with New York Jets safety Jamal Adams knocking Urlacher into the dunk tank shortly before Ware too took the plunge.
