Spencer Long joins Buffalo Bills on three-year deal after New York Jets release

Free agent Spencer Long has signed a three-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, one week after being released by AFC East rivals New York Jets.

According to CBS Sports, Long's deal is worth $13m, with an additional $2m available via incentives.

The Bills also announced that they have re-signed cornerback Lafayette Pitts to a one-year deal. Terms were not disclosed.

Long, a third-round draft pick by the Washington Redskins in 2014, has appeared in 53 regular-season games with 44 career starts.

Long, 28, started 13 games during his only season with the Jets in 2018. He was cut by New York on Feb. 5.

Pitts, 26, was set to become a free agent. He appeared in all 16 games for the Bills last season and tallied nine tackles.
