The Arizona Cardinals signed former Buffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay to a one-year contract on Tuesday.
The Bills released Clay last week, with the eight-year veteran heading into the final year of a five-year, $38m contract.
His deal with Arizona is worth up to $3.25m, including a $350,000 signing bonus, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 30-year-old becomes the third veteran player to sign for Arizona since the end of the season, joining cornerback Robert Alford and defensive end Brooks Reed, both formerly of the Atlanta Falcons.
Clay had a career-low 184 yards on 21 receptions with no touchdowns in 13 games (12 starts) with Buffalo last season.
In 112 career games with the Miami Dolphins (2011-14) and Bills (2015-18), Clay has 339 catches for 3,631 yards and 23 touchdowns.
