Who are the defending Super Bowl champions?
The Seahawks will enter the 2026 season as defending Super Bowl champions after a defensive masterclass guided them to victory over the Patriots in the NFL's 2025 season finale in Santa Clara.
Mike Macdonald's defense sacked Patriots quarterback Drake Maye six times, recovered a fumble and recorded two interceptions, including Uchenna Nwosu's 44-yard pick-six in the fourth quarter.
It was the second time Seattle have won the Super Bowl and served as revenge for their Super Bowl 49 defeat to the Patriots 11 years earlier, which ended with Malcolm Butler's iconic goalline interception in the final seconds.
