The Baltimore Ravens snatched a wild-card berth in the AFC playoffs after they rallied to defeat the Cleveland Browns 20-10 as the San Diego Chargers lost 19-7 to the Kansas City Chiefs on the final day of the NFL regular season.

The Ravens, who missed out on the playoffs last year, trailed 10-3 in the fourth quarter but reduced the deficit with a field goal before taking the lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Torrey Smith with 7:33 left.

Flacco's two-yard touchdown throw to Kamar Aiken with 3:44 remaining then clinched the victory and saw them enter the post-season with a 10-6 record.

Baltimore’s win also ended the Houston Texans’ hopes of clinching the final AFC wild-card spot despite their 23-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

JJ Watt had three sacks and a safety and Andre Johnson had 134 yards receiving and a touchdown to lead the Texans (9-7) to victory.

Johnson gave Houston a 21-17 lead with an eight-yard reception early in the fourth and Watt then sacked Blake Bortles in the end zone for a safety a few minutes later.

The sack gave him 20.5 this season, making him the first player in NFL history to have two seasons with 20 or more sacks.

The Jaguars (3-13) had a chance to take the lead late on, but Cecil Shorts III was out of bounds on a catch on fourth down.

Drew Brees threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Marques Colston with 1:57 remaining to help New Orleans Saints overcome a 13-point, second-half deficit to beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20.

Doug Martin rushed for a season-best 108 yards and rookie Mike Evans set a Tampa Bay record with his 12th touchdown reception.

Teddy Bridgewater threw the go-ahead 44-yard touchdown pass to Adam Thielen in the third quarter to guide the Minnesota Vikings past Chicago 13-9.

The Bears (5-11) finished with their worst record in 10 years after what could be the last game in charge for coach Marc Trestman.

Another coach under pressure is the New York Jets’ Rex Ryan whose job is also on the line despite his side’s 37-24 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Embattled Geno Smith had his best game in a poor season, throwing for a career-high 358 yards and three touchdowns, as the Jets, who have now missed out on the post-season for four consecutive years, rallied from a 10-point third-quarter deficit.

Smith's performance negated a 97-yard run by Lamar Miller, the longest play from scrimmage in Dolphins history.

The New York Giants, who have now failed to reach the playoffs for a third straight season to leave their coach Tom Coughin’s future in doubt, ended their campaign on a losing note as a three-match winning streak was halted by a 34-26 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mark Sanchez threw two touchdowns as the Eagles (10-6) snapped their three-game losing streak.

DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant broke franchise records as the Dallas Cowboys warmed up for the playoffs with a 44-17 win over the Washington Redskins.

Murray rushed for 100 yards on 20 carries, passing Emmitt Smith for the team single-season mark, his 1,845 yards beating Smith's 1,773 from 1995.

Bryant caught scoring passes of 65 and 23 yards to give him 16 touchdown receptions on the season, breaking Terrell Owens' team record of 15 set in 2007.

Andrew Luck threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns before sitting out the second half as the Indianapolis Colts tuned up for the post-season by beating the Tennessee Titans 27-10.

Kyle Orton threw for one touchdown and Anthony Dixon ran for another as the Buffalo Bills (9-7) finished their first winning season in 10 years with a 17-9 win over the New England Patriots.

With the top seeding in the AFC playoffs already clinched, the Patriots (12-4) used quarterback Tom Brady for only the first half and left out tight end Rob Gronkowski and five other starters.

The victory snapped two streaks - Buffalo's 0-12 record at Gillette Stadium and New England's 35 straight home wins against AFC teams.
