New England Patriots continue Super Bowl title defence against Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday 17 January 2016 08:08, UK
The New England Patriots can move a step closer to defending their Super Bowl title when they host the Kansas City Chiefs, live on Sky Sports.
Only eight NFL teams remain after Wild Card weekend and the road to Super Bowl 50 continues with this weekend's Divisional Play-offs.
The Patriots are just two wins away from a repeat appearance in the final, but face a tough Saturday showdown against the Chiefs, who are the NFL's most in-form team with 11 straight wins.
Our live coverage continues on Sunday as the Green Bay Packers take on the Arizona Cardinals, while 2013 champions and last year's finalists Seattle Seahawks travel to the Carolina Panthers, and the Denver Broncos then host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the concluding game.
Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots, Saturday on Sky Sports 2 at 9.30pm
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has given a bullish assessment of his fitness as he prepares to return from a broken foot.
"I'm going to go full throttle regardless. If it goes, it goes," Edelman told ESPN.com after working closely with quarterback Tom Brady in practice.
Edelman's availability will give Brady even more offensive options as Danny Amendola is fit again after a knee injury and tight end Rob Gronkowski remains a reliable outlet.
Kansas City received positive news about Jeremy Maclin, who suffered a sprained right ankle rather than a knee ligament injury, but he is expected to miss the trip to Foxborough.
Green Bay Packers @ Arizona Cardinals, Sunday on Sky Sports 2 at 1.15am
The Packers have been handed a swift opportunity for revenge as they attempt to set the record straight after last month's 38-8 defeat at Arizona.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times and fumbled twice against the Cardinals, but the MVP of the 2014 season produced an inspirational display in last Sunday's 35-18 win over the Washington Redskins.
The Cardinals will be hoping for another bruising defensive performance from Dwight Freeney, who sacked Rodgers on three occasions.
Wide receiver Michael Floyd also racked up 111 yards in the previous meeting with the Packers, his fifth 100-yard game of the season.
Seattle Seahawks @ Carolina Panthers, Sunday on Sky Sports 2 at 5.30pm
Seattle head coach Pete Carroll will continue to assess Marshawn Lynch's fitness this week after the running back was deemed not ready to return against Minnesota Vikings.
Lynch has not featured for the Seahawks since he underwent abdomen surgery in November.
Back in week six, Seattle suffered a 27-13 defeat to the Panthers and quarterback Russell Wilson finished with just five-of-13 for 34 yards after being sacked four times.
Greg Olsen's touchdown clinched victory for Carolina and the tight end has been a preferred target throughout the campaign, making 77 catches for 1,104 yards.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Denver Broncos, Sunday on Sky Sports 2 at 9.40pm
The Broncos will resume hostilities with Pittsburgh, just a few weeks after the bad-tempered 34-27 defeat to the Steelers in December.
Pittsburgh's Cody Wallace received a fine after his helmet-to-helmet hit on Denver safety David Bruton Jr, who this week admitted: 'we got his number', when asked about a reunion with the Steelers.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is expected to lead Pittsburgh, despite being briefly forced out of action in the victory over Cincinnati Bengals.
But it remains to be seen whether Antonio Brown is cleared to play after suffering a head injury in the dramatic closing stages against the Bengals.
