Chris Wall hopes to have stable star First Sitting back in action in around a month after he was struck into in France on Sunday.

The seven-year-old son of Dansili sustained a cut on the back of one of his hind legs as he finished last in a Group Three at ParisLongchamp.

Wall said: "It is nothing long term, he was just struck into and has got a nasty cut on the back of one of his hind legs. Luckily he has caught nothing vital as it could have been a lot worse.

"I know there was a bit of argy-bargy down the home straight and I am not sure if it happened there or a bit earlier in the race.

"I watched the recording when I got back home and coming round the bend down the hill out of the back straight, he was leading on one leg in front and a different one behind and I wonder if he had been whacked down the back straight.

"It will be a week to 10 days before he returns to light exercise. We will just have to see how he is over the next few days. Hopefully we can think about running him in a month's time."
