Quebecois faces Personal Ambition and Old Cowboy in Tuesday's feature from Newbury - live on Sky Sports Racing.

2.15 Newbury - Quebecois seeks first chase win

The OLBG 'Chasing Excellence' Novices' Chase brings Quebecois to Berkshire, who is seeking his first chase win.

The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding once contested the Champion Bumper and was then placed in Grade 2 company as a novice hurdler when finishing second to Billy Joyce at Sandown in December 2024 before managing a creditable third in the Ais Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham last year on Trials Day. He tasted success over the smaller obstacles at Ayr on Scottish National day in April before switching to fencing.

The Ditcheat charge initially saw mixed fortunes over different distances before being switched him back to two miles and four furlongs at Cheltenham. He was very unlucky to be defeated by a nose on that start last month and back over the extended two-mile trip, he should enter the winners' enclosure.

Also in the mix here is Personal Ambition, who will be looking to bounce back after finishing last of five in the Grade 2 Howden Noel Novices' Chase recently. Old Cowboy fell the last day having bled from the nose but could be a contender if he has been brought back to peak condition by the Gary and Josh Moore combination. Nicky Martin's Lead Choice completes the quartet.

3.20 Newbury - Bobby's Nelson headlines field of six

Our third race on a lovely Tuesday afternoon card is the Boyle Sports Home Of Early Payout 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle, which sees Bobby's Nelson headline a field of six.

He bolted up at Ffos Las the last day, beating the talented Off The Jury while pulling clear at the line. This lightly-raced Philip Hobbs and Johnson White-trained gelding has all the credentials to keep improving and a win here could see the Spring festivals emerge as the prime targets.

Swindon Village has a similarly progressive profile to that of Bobby's Nelson, despite notching just the one win over hurdles - which came at Leicester in November. However, he does have some substance to his form given he was third at Ffos Las in late October, with the winner that day going on to the Challow. Klimt Madrik, who Swindon Village beat that day, went on to finish second in the Challow, so that form line reads very nicely.

7.00 Wolverhampton - Filly Foden chases hat-trick in strong race

The race of the evening from Wolverhampton is arguably the Read Meg Nicholls' Blog At betmgm.co.uk Handicap, in which Filly Foden chases a hat-trick, taking on two previous winners Grey Horizon and Justmyluck.

This Middleham Park-owned Filly Foden made the switch to Rod Milman's yard in January and has seen her form take an upturn, tasting victory the last twice. Her victory at Lingfield was particularly impressive, blowing the field away to win by just under five lengths. For that win she faces a 12lbs rise in the weights and will race off a career high mark of 75.

Grey Horizon is bang in form, winning four of his last seven starts since moving from Richard Fahey to Scott Dixon. He has won here twice in three attempts and seeks his first success at the track over five furlongs this evening.

Justmyluck is still lightly raced, having only seen the track five times. He bought up his first career win last time out on handicap debut for Linda Perratt and the handicapper didn't mess about, as he is up 6lbs for it.

Notable mentions must go to Baker Blue and Fortification, who too are good horses and not out of the equation.

Best of the rest

At Newbury, Dan Skelton will look to see improvement from Giantsgrave in the Boyle Sports Cheltenham Bank Builder Jackpot Maiden Hurdle at 2.45pm, after being beaten 26 lengths when sent off the 11/10 favourite at Ffos Las last month. There are a few nice types in this race, including Ben Pauling's Fouroneohfever and Seven Barows representative Galashiels. Jane Williams hands a first start over hurdles to Lancelot Allen, who ran in the Champion Bumper last term.

At 3.55pm, the 500 Logistics Decade Of Delivery Handicap Chase sees Saint Palais, Brave Kingdom and Major Fortune lock horns before Robber's Bridge looks to defy a 7lbs rise in the Finli Live Your Best Financial Life Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm.

At Wolverhampton, the Bet £10 Get £40 With BetMGM Maiden Fillies' Stakes (6pm) is the stage for daughters of St Mark's Basilica (Free Yourself) and Frankel (Oscar Nominee) to make their racetrack bows.
