Charlie McBride is contemplating sending Squash on a trip to Ireland for a tilt at the Athasi Stakes at the Curragh on May 2.

McBride is weighing up a shot at the seven-furlong Group Three after she outran her 33/1 price-tag when finding only Fillies' Mile runner-up Nathra too good in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket.

The Newmarket handler said: "She's not in either of the English or the Irish 1000 Guineas.

"We had a chat and thought that we might try to find a race on softish ground in France for her.

"She could, though, go to Ireland early next month for the Athasi Stakes.

"That is a possibility as seven furlongs is her best trip, although she might get a mile in time.

"She was entitled to run well in the Nell Gwyn as she had some decent form.
