The final day of Royal Ascot 2016 saw a big-race victory for The Queen and a treble for the week's leading jockey Ryan Moore.

A disappointing week for Royal backers took a turn for the better when Dartmouth got the better of a prolonged battle with Highland Reel to win the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes.

Olivier Peslier rode the winner but had to wait for the result of a stewards enquiry before victory was confirmed.

The big race on Saturday, the Diamond Jubilee Stakes, was won by Twilight Son, who came out on top in a driving finish ahead of Hong Kong's Gold-Fun.

Twilight Son was one of three winners for Ryan Moore, who also rode Chesham Stakes victor Churchill and Sir Isaac Newton in the Wolferton Handicap.

Those wins were enough for Moore to win the prize as leading jockey over the week, with six winners, while Aidan O'Brien took trainer honours with seven winners.

The cavalry charge that is the Wokingham was won by Outback Traveller and the closing Queen Alexandra Stakes went to Commissioned.
