McCabe charge the best two-year-old in Britain says Kieren

Kieren Fallon says the Breeders' Cup is a "realistic ambition" for leading two-year-old Caspar Netscher. Fallon says Alan McCabe's juvenile "took my breath away" when the pair landed the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury recently. And the Irishman believes the son of Dutch Art is the best youngster in Britain after improving again from his Gimcrack victory at York in August. Now a trip to Churchill Downs could be on the agenda for Caspar Netscher, and Fallon says he wouldn't be out of place in the big Stateside spectacular.

Cruising speed

He told the Racing Post Weekender: "He has a terrific cruising speed, which is a pre-requisite for the Breeders' Cup races and he quickens like only class acts can. "He is still improving and there is plenty of time between the Newbury race and Churchill Downs in the first week of November." Fallon had already partnered the juvenile in work ahead of the Mill Reef, but was still surprised by just how good he was. "Once he got on the track he knew his job and he was so impressive. I dropped him in last in the early stages and gave him plenty of time to make his move, but he caught me out as his turn of foot was immediate and in a matter of strides we had gone from last to first," said Fallon. "If I had known him better I would have waited much longer as he idled once he hit the front."
