Star columnist Richard Fahey provides his unmissable guide to his runners on a busy Saturday for the Musley Bank stable.

It’s a busy Saturday for the team with runners at four meetings.

We’ll start with Newmarket and Tagtale in the EBF Stallions Breeding Winners 'Jersey Lily' Fillies' Nursery. She shouldn’t be good enough and probably needs a monsoon as she’s very effective on testing  ground. The weather forecast isn’t for rain and I do think she’d need some to have a chance.

I’m looking forward to running Zuhoor Baynoona in the Connolly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes. I’d be surprised if she could win a Group One this early in her career as I’m a huge fan of Tiggy Wiggy but she’s had a long season and we won’t run away from her. If my filly is placed I’d be delighted but we’re very happy with her and she’s very nice.

I hope high numbers are favoured in the Betfred Cambridgeshire as we’re in 34 and 35. Spirit Of The Law has surprised me all season – he’s just quicker – and didn’t get home at Newbury last time. I’d be surprised if he could win a race as competitive as this but he deserves to take his chance.

Gabrial’s Kaka has been a little unlucky here as he loves soft ground and doesn’t look like getting it. That said it’s not going to be rattling fast. Do we think he can win off 103? Yes – but the draw is a worry and as I said the ground may not be ideal. He could still run very well though.

Midnite Ride is first up at Chester in the Golden Square Shopping Centre Maiden Fillies' Stakes. She’s a weak filly who is going to be better next year but she ran ok when second at Carlisle last time and would have a squeak on that form.

We run two in the Advanced Insulation Handicap. Pushkin Museum was very disappointing last time, he never went forward so we’ve stuck a visor on to try and help David Nolan.

Withernsea ran a good race at Newbury when he just ran into one. It was a good effort and if in that sort of form must have a good chance.

The Golden Square Shopping Centre Handicap is a valuable race but somehow it never fills. We’ve three in it this time.

Latenightrequest won well at Haydock last time and drops back in trip here. I’m very pleased with her and any rain would be in her favour. That comment also applies to Ventura Quest who ran very well when third to Air Pilot at Newbury last week; we’re taking it on trust he’s ready to go again – but if he is he has a chance.

Our Gabrial has had a good season but is drawn a little wider than I’d like in 13. He’s never really fired at Chester before but Marwan always likes runners here and the horse is in good order.

Gabrial's Lady doesn’t show much at home – or on the track on her two runs to date. She’ll get a handicap mark after running in the Sportingbet Maiden Stakes but I’d like to see her take a step forward.

Steve Prescott has got to like Chester as he’s here most meetings!

We put blinkers on him last time and it helped as he ran a better race. We do think he’s good enough to win off his current mark and the Controlled Solutions Group Nursery might just be a little easier for him than the last contest. He just needs to concentrate, like a lot of Dutch Art’s he’s very laidback. They are a pleasure to train and this one can certainly win another race or two.

Mehdi ran a cracker to finish second in the Silver Cup at Ayr. He’s turned out quickly in the LDF Handicap and would have a solid chance. We also run Gatepost who was drawn on the wrong side at Ayr – but 11 does him no favours here.

Layla’s Red Devil runs in the Innospec Handicap but has been a bit disappointing and needs to bounce back.

Ripon next and Character Onesie in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Stakes. He’s another who’s going to be better next year but he ran a really nice race at Chester first time and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him go well here.

You can forget Diamond Blue’s run at Ayr as she reared up in the stalls and never had a  chance from there. She’d been consistent before that but the David Sonia's 40th Birthday Celebration Apprentice Handicap looks very competitive.

Supplicant is another who things didn’t go right for in Scotland. He got left at the start and was left with nowhere to go in the Gold Cup before staying on when it was all over. He likes the track, is in very good order and hopefully the ground won’t be too quick for him in the Ripon Cathedral City Of The Dales Handicap.

Bayan Kasirga was trapped wide throughout her race at Ayr last week and did well to finish third. She’ll run her race in the CHS Vehicles Handicap.

Town Council is our first Haydock runner in the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes. He’s quite nice. He’s big, backward and weak but we do like him. I was a fraction disappointed with his first run at Sandown and he needs to step up on that here but I think he will. That said you’ll see the real Town Council next year.

El Viento is so well handicapped…he just needs to get his act together. I thought he’d run much better than he did at Doncaster last time but we try again in the Watch Racing UK Anywhere Handicap and I’m sure he’s going to pop up in one of these races.

Any rain would help Ballesteros in the Racing UK Anywhere Available Now Handicap. He ran well at Ayr last week on a surface that would have been quicker than ideal. Lexi’s Hero was down the field in the Silver Cup but ran ok and has had a decent season.

Cosmic Halo was a tad disappointing at Pontefract the last day and I can’t offer any excuses. We’ll try again in the EBF 'Reprocolor' Fillies' Handicap which is a valuable pot but being drawn 13 doesn’t make it easy.

English Summer has had a fantastic season but never looked like being competitive in Ireland last time. The Download The New RacingUK iPad App Handicap doesn’t look as deep as that race but it’s getting tougher for him.

Gabrial’s Star’s very best form is on soft ground and I don’t think he’s going to get that here. He’s capable of running well though and I really wouldn’t want to split my pair.

Mystery Bet is our final runner of the day in the toteexacta Pick The 1,2 Handicap at Wolverhampton. She hasn’t run for 267 days and might just need it although she has done plenty of work.

We are trying to get her ready for the final meeting at York.
