Simcock plotting route to Ascot with Madame Chiang

The Darley Yorkshire Oaks and the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on Champions Day are the next two races for Madame Chiang, ground permitting.
David Simcock's four-year-old, who has only had seven races in her career, finished a respectable fourth in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes last month.
As long as conditions are suitable, Madame Chiang will head to York before she defends her crown in the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on October 17.
"The King George was more of an afterthought," Simcock told At The Races.
"We never really thought we'd be going there as we imagined it would be too quick. It wasn't until the forecast changed we suddenly decided we had a chance of going.
"I forgot to take her out and Kirsten (Rausing, owner) said we may as well leave in her for another week and she ran very well.
"As long as she gets soft ground, it will be the Yorkshire Oaks - you'd like to think the King George will bring her on leading into York.
"Ascot is the aim again and we're hoping it's wet.
"She's a good filly but lacks a little acceleration, and that is where it (soft ground) helps."
