Verdict

Uppertown Cave failed to cope with a penalty in a bumper at Ayr last time having won at the same track earlier. He should be thereabouts on his hurdling bow but has VOYAGE A NEW YORK to beat in this. Lucinda Russell's charge found only Stonebrook too good last month and the winner and third have both subsequently won. Russborough has been placed over fences in France and has his first start for Venetia Williams. He may figure along with Quick Brew, third over track and trip in October. Ballyvoque ran well for a long way on his first outing since 2012 and may well finish closer today.
