Verdict
Placed in all three starts this year, Brett’s Boy is interesting for a trainer/jockey combination which enjoys a solid strike-rate here. Taylor’s Prince won over track and trip last month and found only one too good last time but MERLO’S LAD, a winner four times last year, looked to be coming to hand when runner-up to Witt’s Gold earlier this month. He can again beat Maximus the Great and All for Truth in taking the finale.
