Verdict
It's difficult to interpret Cape Express' Southwell win as the third Prompter has been well beaten since at Market Rasen. However, Nicky Henderson's charge has run well back on the Flat recently and makes more appeal that the four-year-old Sud Pacifique, who has been a bit disappointing over hurdles despite scraping home at Cartmel on his latest start. BATTLECAT certainly wasn't winning out of turn at Newton Abbot and earlier form, especially a second to Prospect Wells at Chepstow last October, suggest he'll take all the beating in this company. Shalloon has shown promise but may just need this.
