Verdict

It took Grey Soldier a long time to get the hang of jumping fences but a victory at Cartmel will have boosted confidence and he makes more appeal now than fellow recent scorers Toledo Gold and Turf Trivia. Bygones Of Brid may have been a lucky winner here last month and the concession of 7lb to RHYMERS HA' could be beyond him. Lucinda Russell's charge ran the more experienced Jack The Gent to two lengths at Kelso and will know more today. Winning hurdlers Agricultural and Alba King may be best of the rest, though Twill Stand To Us has already won over fences between the flags.
