Rangefinder won a 2m Chester handicap on the Flat for Jane Chapple-Hyam last year but finished tailed off on his reappearance at Ripon and is probably best watched on his hurdling debut for Andy Crook. Preference is for MR TALLYMAN, who belied his big odds when third in a Sedgefield handicap last month and appears to be improving. Gleann Na Ndochais wasn't disgraced when sixth to Sivola De Sivola over a longer trip at Perth last month and probably has a bit more scope than Master Performer, third twice here recently. Zaru has shown promise in bumpers and may be best of the rest.
