Verdict

WEET YER TERN is selected ahead of Goldan Jess and Tora Petcha amongst others. Mark Brisbourne's charge was in decent form over hurdles in May, finishing second before going one better in a handicap hurdle at Wetherby. He disappointed in better company in two subsequent starts and had just two more runs on the level before being put away. Consequently, he has a little to prove returning from a short break but he has the form to be competitive in this grade and the track should play to his strengths. Nicki Boy has his first run for a new yard and has no easy task at the weights and the dual course and distance winner Tora Petcha may emerge as a bigger threat if this drop in grade helps him recapture his form. Goldan Jess also eases back in class this afternoon having struggled to make his mark in handicap company since winning a Sedgefield seller in May. Vincenzio seems sure to attract support and sports cheekpieces for the first time which may assist but of more interest may be Bundle Up as she has been in decent form on the level. This competitive heat may go the way of Weet Yer Tern. (Ian Ogg)
