In depth

Verdict

CALLIOPE looks the one to beat in this as she’s twice finished second over track and trip since winning here last August so is probably still on a decent mark. Bossiney Bay will strip fitter for last month’s run at Warwick and Kelso third Joie De Vivre will probably run her race again but both of Evita Du Mesnil’s victories have come on heavy going. Cancan has improved for the move into handicaps as she followed up a third at Carlisle with another here last month, though has a length to find with the selection.
