Verdict

A small field goes to post for the opener and none of the four can be ruled out, but we will nominate Kentish Dream to get the better of Aldermoor and Cerito. The selection shaped with plenty of promise on his debut at Newmarket and he built on that last time when he beat Oil Man at Lingfield. He beat a decent field in that race and with further progress anticipated he can win again. Alderman was bought at the Doncaster Breeze-Up Sales for 95,000gns and he made a winning racecourse debut when he beat Starry Sky at Catterick. He looked quite useful that day and he should give our selection a race. Summer Fete is an interesting newcomer from the Brian Smart yard and he is more than capable of getting one ready to win first time out. She makes plenty of appeal on breeding and a watching brief on the market is advised. Cerito would have claims on the pick of his form and he has been running in some pretty hot races. A very competitive event to open the card and the tentative choice is Kentish Dream.
