        Verdict

        It's a while since Petella last ran in this lowly grade and she should make her presence felt, though her stable has been a little quiet lately. Bavarian Nordic ended a long losing run at Catterick earlier this month and that should have boosted his confidence. This longer trip could be a problem, however, whereas Spruzzo is an out-and-out stayer who'll be doing his best work at the finish, though he'd probably be suited by more rain. RAPID HEAT LAD was well beaten over hurdles earlier this month but had been keeping better company on the Flat prior to that run and is worth another chance to prove he stays this far. Reg Hollinshead's three-year-old certainly has more scope than the likes of Polurrian and Lava Steps. Blinkers could bring about some improvement in Seagoing and he may be best of the rest.
