In depth

Verdict

Leish Oscar was flattered by her proximity to Rebel Fitz on her chasing bow at Ballinrobe in May but reverted to hurdles at Down Royal earlier this month and ran another fine race. She will be winning soon while Lough Roe Lady has shown enough over fences to make her mark. Speckled Wood, a progressive hurdler, hasn't had much luck in two starts over the bigger obstacles and should prove a threat but Sugar Bullet could just need this as he hasn't been seen since falling at the second last when holding every chance at Listowel in June of last year. Littletown Lass is another to consider but in an open event it's BLAZING SONNET, a winner over hurdles at Limerick in May, who gets the vote after a very promising chasing debut in what looked a strong beginners event at Thurles a couple of weeks ago.
